Will You Plant Your Seeds Today? A Spiritual Reflection on Personal Growth
Mar 07, 2022I have a question: Will you plant your seeds today?
As spring approaches, I can’t help but smile with excitement. The season represents the budding of newness. However, before this happens, seeds are sown in our lives to take root and bloom. Sometimes this is done intentionally through strategic planning. Most times, I believe, this is done by Divine intervention. For me, it’s not until I see the seedlings that I realize the cultivation of such seeds were not in vain.
Fear vs. Flourishing in Faith
Is it a lack of faith? Is it fear that I did not give the seed it’s proper nutrients in order to bloom in due season?
I’m learning each seed takes root and blooms in its own time and season. Though sometimes easier said than done, all I need to do is follow God’s guidance, take action, and stay out of the results. Meaning, I need to realize I don’t have a time machine like Marty McFly in Back in the Future to hop in and create the future I so desire. Interestingly enough, spoiler alert, the future ended up exactly as it was destined.
Back to planting.

Cultivating the Seeds You've Been Given
When the seedlings of the decisions I’ve made in alignment with God’s purpose for my life begin to sprout, my soul smiles. The simple task of them peeking just over the horizon of the soil gives me the determination to press forward in faith. It also allows me the opportunity to trust my Self with the gift of discernment. Yes, some seeds don’t make it to spring — that just means God created another caretaker for them.
This dude didn't make it.
In the meantime, I will cultivate the seeds I’ve been given to shower with love, willingness, purpose, and intention.
For this, I am grateful.
So, have you planted your seeds?
Until next time ... Joyous Journey.
